Smoke fired pinchpot.
Pinched fine and with a delicate feel, this has been burnished using a stone, fired once in an electric kiln, then smoke-fired over a 24 hour period. The marks have been made by burning bracken, thistles and dock seeds.
The markings are subtle, with many tones of greys and black.
It is 12 cm high and 10.5 cm at its widest point.
It feels lovely and smooth – following the firing it was lightly waxed and polished.
