Smoke-fired ceramics

All my work is hand-built using coiling or pinching as a technique. Every piece is unique and although is planned, has an element that is always completely serendipitous. This could be due to the time I have that day for making; the warmth of the room and how long each stage of making will take to dry; and then how the smoke-firing works out. That last part is, to a degree, completely out of my control. I trust and embrace the process and the time it takes. And hopefully that slow, thoughtful manner of making is captured in the finished work.
